Preparations!

We recently bought some fun things in preparation for a funner thing that is not yet finalized...

AJ finally got his drumset. We had most of it in the back seat and on the way home it beat along to the music on the radio with a ba-dum dum here and there. Look at the way he is grinning. He was happy!

Microfiber love seat.

Microfiber sofa. We got an amazing deal on these. We got both for the less than the price of the sofa. They are really fluffy and soft. It feels like you're laying on a bunch of pillows!

Dining table and chairs. This is the shape and form of the table. But it will be the same color as the chair below and not like the one pictured.

This is what the chairs look like.

Cousins' Retreat

Last weekend we had a fun break at my aunt and uncle's cabin. We had a bunch of cousins get together for a little rest and recreation.

3 Kinds of Parties!

April 25th we had two friends get married on the same day! It was fun to go see them all dressed up! Congrats Natalie and Callie! Natalie's older sister, Carissa, and I became friends when we moved to Florida. I met Callie in Florida too and the night was a reunion of familiar faces. Later that week on Thursday, Callie's older sister Britni and I got together and drank Jamba Juice at a nearby park. It was fun to visit and see her cute little girls.

On May 2nd we had a surprise party for AJ's Granny's 80th birthday. Karma (AJ's Mom) was the ring leader for the whole event and she did a fabulous job! It was fun to be a part of it. Kate and I decorated the banner with cute little cut outs that Karma made. Happy 8th Granny!

AJ's birthday was May 7th. He wanted a tredmill and found one on Craig's List for super cheap so I "got" that for his birthday and then I wanted to do something fun since I didn't really feel like I was giving him the tredmill. So I got 5 of his favorite treats and candies and, using the letters from the names of the treats, I made a puzzle. He had to pull off certain letters and arrange them to discover his secret birthday message. Well, he was way too good and knew what it was right away. :( I better come up with a harder message next time.

Hmmmm, a tredmill and candy? That is a bit of a mixed message.
