It's Official!

It's official today: AJ has a full time job with benefits! He got a job offer from one company last Tuesday and found out a couple days earlier that his company was hiring for a position he was very interested in. He went to someone in his company and told him his situation and after interviewing they offered him the job. So, he gets to stay with his current company!

(These are little "medals" I made for our celebration. We celebrated getting pregnant and getting the job at the same time)

What does that mean for our family? I get to be a full-time Mommy and AJ gets to be a bread-winner Daddy. I don't like to get too deep while blogging, but I want to recognize that there were many mini miracles that made this big miracle happen for us. Thank you to family and friends who kept us in your thoughts and prayers. I know Heavenly Father will bless us in our times of need if we ask and follow his commandments. Heavenly Father truly did, "open [us] the windows of heaven, and pour [us] out a blessing that there shall not be room enough to receive it." (3 Nephi 24:10)

I had been very distressed about the job situation. This scripture gave me comfort, "Behold the fowls of the air, for they sow not, neither do they reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?...And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin; And yet I say unto you, that even Solomon, in all his glory, was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, even so will he clothe you, if ye are not of little faith. Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things." (3 Nephi 13:26, 28-32)

I finally had the realization/remembrance that after all we do Heavenly Father will make up the difference. After that "ah ha" moment the job came. I like what Moroni says about it, "...I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith." (Ether 12:6)

Congratulations Daddy AJ and Mommy Jessica! It is so great that you will be a full-time Mommy! I know how much you will enjoy that! I have to go back to work in 40 days and I still haven't done everything I wanted to do with him in this first year of his life.

YAY! I'm so excited for both of you! I'm incredibly thankful that I'm able to be a stay-at-home mom, it's so awesome. Love the medals :)
